As part of Metro Arts’ Season of Independents
Co-presented with Backbone Youth Arts Elevate Project and The Vertebras
How do you know when you’re a grown up?
Is it your first love, or your last love, that tells you that you’ve arrived? Maybe it’s a car and a kid? A beer for breakfast or donuts for dinner? Maybe it’s when you notice your body’s changing, or actually remember the electricity bill is due before it gets cut off?
Based on stories collected from hundreds of people of all ages from around the world, Envelope is a performance about coming-of-age. Travel along the path to adulthood where the milestones constantly change and the destination’s never quite what’s expected.
Join us on this awfully big adventure that is as much yours as it is ours, and suffer and celebrate what it means to be grown up.
